Level III Trauma Care Available
Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center is also a Level III Trauma Center – one of only two hospitals in the state with that designation and the ability to manage the most severe emergency cases.
We use two special systems to deliver care in the shortest amount of time possible.

1. The time from when you arrive to being seen in triage - 5 minutes
2. The time from triage to evaluation by a physician - 5 minutes
3. The time from arrival to discharge (if appropriate) - within 60 minutes
4. Time from arrival to being admitted into the hospital (if needed) - within 90 minutes
