At Ephraim McDowell Health we place a high value on education; however, we understand that completing nursing school and advancing Careersyour professional abilities through ongoing education can be stressful expenses. That's why we've created this package of generous benefits to reward your hard work:

Student loan repayment
When you work for EMH, we help you pay off student loans you incurred while pursuing your nursing education. We pay the lesser of 20% or $5,250 per year (I.R.S. maximum benefit level) of the tuition loans for full-time EMH Associates based on The University of Kentucky tuition rate.

Continuing education
We encourage our nurses to always be learning. Starting R.N. compensation rates are based on degree – A.D.N., B.S.N., M.S.N. or Doctorate. And going to school is even easier thanks to our system for scheduling your shifts to meet the demands of your class schedule.

Tuition reimbursement for "hard-to-fill" positions
While you're employed with us and continuing your education, we reimburse you for the tuition you pay once you have maximized all student loan options. Reimbursement percentages are based on actual costs of enrollment at The University of Kentucky.

Extra pay for certification
We reward your success. When you earn special certifications that meet the specified credentialing requirements of the American Nurses Credentialing Center and other approved organizations, and work in the area in which you're certified, we pay $1 more per hour for up to two certifications. We will also reimburse you for the costs of taking credentialing exams.
