Careers Nursing at EMH Medicaid Nurse Aide

Become a Medicaid Nurse Aide

If you're interested in a nursing career, our Medicaid Nurse Aide program can help you get started.

Medicaid Nurse Aides provide care to people of all ages in various healthcare settings. Typically working under the supervision of other healthcare professionals, Medicaid Nurse Aides are usually responsible for tasks such as:

  • Checking and recording each patient's temperature, pulse and respiration
  • Assisting patients with getting in and out of the bed
  • Assisting with patients' personal hygiene

Our Associate Education Department offers a Medicaid Nurse Aide class several times a year. This class is now a prerequisite for RN and LPN students.
