When it comes to employee benefits, Ephraim McDowell Health has you covered. Our generous package ranges from a retirement savings NurseWithPatientplan with dollar matching, to flex spending accounts, to discounts with local businesses.

As an EMH Associate, you control your benefits at your convenience any time of day or night through BenefitsTalk™,  an online environment that allows you to enroll in plans, check the status of medical claims, access plan documents and change addresses, phone numbers or beneficiary information at any time. We also have the EMH Benefits Center – a call center staffed with experienced benefit coordinators to answer your questions - (866)446-6150.

Benefits

Retirement Savings Plan EMH will match up to 8% of your base earnings on a pre-taxed basis, according to the following schedule: 200% match on first 1% deferred

100% match on next 3% deferred

75% match on next 4% deferred

These contributions will be 100% vested after 5 years of service.

Eligible to contribute starting on first day of employment!

Health Insurance Covered first day of employment! Premiums deducted are pre-taxed. We offer 4 different plans: -Low Risk Premium Plan

-Moderate Risk Standard Plan

-High Risk Economy Plan

-High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) – Health Savings Account

Dental Insurance Two options of dental coverage are available: Low Option (basic preventive & minor services)

High Option (minor & major services including orthodontia)

Coverage begins first day of the month following hire date.

Vision Insurance Two options of vision coverage are available: Low Option: vision exam & lenses or contacts every year & frames every 24 months

High Option: same benefit as Low Option, plus tints, UV coating, basic progressive & polycarbonate lenses

Basic Life Insurance & AD&D EMH provides full-time Associates free life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) coverage equal to 1 x annual salary on 1st day of employment. After 4 years of service, this increases to 1.5 x annual salary.
Supplemental Life Insurance & AD&D Voluntary life insurance coverage is available up to 5 x annual salary effective 1st day of employment. Dependent life insurance is also available for Associate's spouse & children. Additional AD&D coverage is also available for Associates and dependents at an additional cost.
Short-Term Disability Short-term disability coverage is available on the 1st day of the month following date of hire. Maximum benefit is up to 66 2/3% of covered earnings.
Two options include:

1st day Accident/8th day Sickness
15th day Accident/15th day Sickness
Long-Term Disability Two LTD options are available where you can receive 60% of your salary after 180 days of disability:

Basic Plan: benefits are paid for 5 years.

Buy Up Plan: benefits are paid up to age 65.

The Basic Plan is free for full-time Associates after 2 years of service. Associates may voluntarily pay for the Basic Plan during the 2 year waiting period.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) EMH offers a Health FSA and a Dependent Care FSA. This is a great tax savings benefit! A Limited Expense FSA is offered to Associates enrolled in the HDHP-HSA health plan.
Group Home & Auto Insurance MetLife offers our Associates discounted rates for home and auto insurance.
Additional Insurance Additional insurance is available at Open Enrollment including cancer, accident, ICU, and whole life insurance policies.
Paid Time Off PTO hours are accrued each pay period and consist of vacation days, holidays, and personal days. This is for Full-Time or Part-Time I Associates.
Short-Term Illness Full-Time and Part-Time I Associates will accrue STI hours each pay period that can be used after 24 hours of non-work related injury or illness, payable at 60% of base earnings.
Wellness F.I.R.S.T. This benefit is available on a voluntary basis to recognize Associates who make a dedicated effort to improve their personal health by participating in a health risk questionnaire, biometric screening and contact with a personal health coach. This benefit is only offered at Open Enrollment.
PTO Conversion During Open Enrollment, Associates have the option to re-direct 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours of Paid Time Off per pay period to offset voluntary benefit premiums.
Bereavement Pay Full-Time and Part-Time I Associates may take off up to 24 hours with base pay in the event of the death of an immediate family member, step-parents, parents-in-law, grandparents and grandchildren.
Education Assistance We offer 100% student loan repayment for hard-to-fill positions. Tuition reimbursement is also available to Associates who are ineligible for student loans.
Education/Development EMH provides a number of in-service programs and continuing education opportunities to our Associates. We also provide time off with pay for Associates to attend approved conferences, seminars, etc.
Child Care Discount All Associates enjoy a minimum discount of 30% from the standard service rate at A Children's Place. Child care, preschool, before/after school and summer programs are available.
Wellness Center Discount Discounted rates are offered at McDowell Wellness Center which offers a variety of fitness programs and an indoor pool for health and wellness.
Cafeteria Discount Associates who purchase meals in the cafeteria at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital will enjoy an average discount of 25%.
MedSource Discount All Associates are eligible for a 15% discount on items purchased at MedSource, a supplier of durable medical equipment, uniforms, shoes, etc.
Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Associates may schedule a consultation with one of our pharmacists to discuss prescriptions taken on a regular basis. Participants in one of our health plans would then be eligible for a 50% discount on the co-pay for prescriptions purchased through the Outpatient Pharmacy.
Smoking Cessation Program All EMH campuses are now smoke free! This program is held at McDowell Wellness Center. Upon successful completion of the program, we will refund the fee, minus the supplies.
Associate Health Service Free vaccinations for hepatitis, tetanus, flu, chicken pox, rubella, and rubeola are available to clinical and other Associates who are at risk as well as annual TB skin tests. Free annual lab testing (basic metabolic panel, lipid profile and complete blood count tests) are also available for Associates
Associate Assistance Program EMH provides our Associates and their immediate family members with 6 counseling visits per issue per family member per year for free through LifeServices EAP.
Sam's Club Membership EMH has partnered with Sam's Club Warehouse to offer our Associates a discounted membership rate.
AAA AAA offers our Associates discounted rates through payroll deduction.
