The Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center and Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital Auxiliaries are offering a teen volunteer scholarship for the Fall 2012-Spring 2013 school year. The Scholarship is available to high school seniors. The application deadline is February 15.
To be eligible for the scholarship, high school students must be in the top 25 percent of their class, have a minimum ACT score of 21 or SAT score of 1000, currently participating or participated in the Auxiliary Teen Volunteer Program while in high school and have the intent to enter into an approved health care career program at a regionally accredited college or university.
The Scholarship will be paid directly to the college or university and will be in the amount of $500.00.
The programs of study that are eligible for coverage are at the discretion of Ephraim McDowell Health and subject to change. Children of Ephraim McDowell Associates will be given preference.
To apply for the scholarship, individuals should print and complete an EMH Healthcare Scholarship Application available by
clicking here for a downloadable application and include scholastic records and recommendations from at least two instructors and one guidance counselor/advisor. In addition, criteria for the available scholarships can be
downloaded here. Completed applications and other documentation should be forwarded to Ephraim McDowell Health’s Human Resources at 217 South Third Street, Danville, KY 40422 by February 15.
