The Ephraim McDowell Health system is a tobacco free environment.  No smoking or use of tobacco is permitted anywhere on the premises . . . this includes in buildings, parking lots, vehicles, on the grounds of any EMH facility or on the streets and sidewalks adjacent to the properties.  We have this tobacco free campus policy because of our commitment to the health and safety of Associates and patients.  Being tobacco free is not an attempt to force anyone to quit using tobacco products.  It is a concrete way for EMH to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to healthy living.
