Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center announces Michael W. Schaeffer, M.D. as the newest member of the medical staff. Schaeffer is board-certified in internal medicine and interventional cardiology. He has joined Ephraim McDowell Cardiology, which is located at 222 South Third Street in Danville. Dr. Schaeffer is part of Cardiology Associates of Kentucky. Ephraim McDowell is contracting with Cardiology Associates of Kentucky to expand cardiac care services for the community. Dr. Schaeffer earned his medical degree in 2001 from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed an internship in 2004 and a fellowship in 2007 at University of Cincinnati Hospital. He has been board-certified in interventional cardiology since 2007.
